Betim Drenica

Bio

I'm Betim Drenica. I build software, and occasionally write about it here.

I'm currently building Sent, a messaging API. Before that I spent years as a software architect working across backend services, APIs, and mobile — mostly in the .NET world, with detours through iOS and Android.

Earlier on I was involved in the developer community in Prishtina: helping run ALNUG and ALSSUG, the Albanian .NET and SQL Server user groups, and speaking at conferences around Kosovo. A good part of the older writing on this site comes from that period, and a fair amount of it is in Albanian.

This site is mostly an archive plus whatever I'm thinking about now. Posts go back to 2011. The early ones are about technology that no longer exists, which I've left up rather than quietly deleted.
